A CMOS floating-gate, non-amperometric electrochemical sensor, which overcomes the invasiveness of patch-clamp and bias-setting of Ion Sensitive FET (ISFET), is proposed to detect enteric nerve system (ENS) action potentials (AP) by model-based match filtering. With the cellular HodgkinHuxley (HH) models of S-type and AH-type neurons, we robustly capture AP from freshly harvested mouse intestinal tissues.
